Aikiyam School is bi-lingual and a part of an outreach program of the international community of Auroville, " an experiment in human unity"  which began in the 1960's and continues to flourish today near Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu. 
 
Within the school and in an after school center, I led groups of children engaged in art therapy. I also assisted the school's Art Therapist, Tia Pleiman.  
 
Tia is from New York and her processes drew from her art therapy training as well as modern art and Indian culture, a rich mix.  While there I made this short documentary about Tia and her work.
